3rd Annual Walk to End Childhood Hunger takes place on
Saturday, August 19,2023 at
Roger Williams Park

Walkers will meet at The Temple by 8:00 AM to begin our walk by 8:30 AM.
Since its inception, the non-profit organization has been instrumental in opening up an emergency food pantry at Veazie Street Elementary School in Providence and have delivered groceries to families in the Greater Providence area who are experiencing hunger. Additionally, our organization has fed hungry children in countries such as Haiti and Jamaica. We do this as part of our guiding mission which is to ensure that kids are: Happy, Healthy, Educated and Thriving!
Our goal this school year is to expand the opening of school food pantries in Providence as well as opening emergency food pantries in: Woonsocket, Central Falls, Newport, Pawtucket and West Warwick. This will afford kids, especially those living in poverty the opportunity to take home ready-to-eat meals and snacks.
The implications to feeding kids is far-reaching and consequential. Having healthy accessible meals will positively impact students' social, academic and behavioral outcomes. Feeding kids will also close learning and education gaps for all children, particularly those living in poverty.
